Why flat pricing
Intercom and Zendesk charge by the seat, so the developer never gets one. That is why teams end up wiring their support tool to an issue tracker: not because the workflow is better, but because a second seat costs more than a second tool. Vasta has no seat price. Invite the developer, the warehouse manager, whoever actually knows.
No seat math
Paid plans include unlimited agents. There is nothing to calculate before you ask a colleague for help, and nothing to cancel when they are done.
Not a limited guest
Everyone you invite is a full agent who can reply to customers. We do not sell a cheaper seat that can watch but not speak.
Tickets on every plan, Free included
Putting them behind an upgrade would hide the one thing we do better than tools that cost ten times more per team.
No SLA engines, routing rules or setup consultants. You get the ticket, not the apparatus.
Install
No SDK, no npm package, no build step. The loader is under 10 KB - read it yourself, makes zero network requests on your page and never injects a style tag - so it works on sites with a strict Content Security Policy, where you only allow script-src and frame-src.
<script>
window.VastaSettings = { token: "pk_your_widget_token" };
(function () {
var w = window; if (typeof w.Vasta === "function") return;
var f = function () { f.q.push(arguments) }; f.q = []; w.Vasta = f;
var s = document.createElement("script"); s.async = true;
s.src = "https://vastahq.com/v1/loader.js";
document.head.appendChild(s);
})();
</script>Born in production
My other company builds a workforce-management platform. When its support outgrew email, I looked at Intercom's pricing, closed the tab, and built my own - then put it in front of every customer that platform has. Vasta has run its production support since August 2026: 2,200+ employees across 134 companies reach the team through this exact widget and inbox.
Same code you get on the free plan. We found out what breaks under real traffic so you don't have to.

A ticket-only seat for people who should not see every conversation · email channel · canned replies · conversation export · help center articles in the widget · AI answers with a hard monthly cap · “waiting too long” reports. None of this is for sale yet. When it ships, every plan gets what its card promises.
| 5-agent team | Vasta Standard | Intercom (now Fin) | Zendesk Suite |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | €29 flat | ~$425+ | ~$275+ |

| Agent seats | Unlimited | Per seat | Per seat |

| Outbound messages | Included | Paid add-on | Higher tier |
| Seat for the developer who fixes it | Included, full agent | Lite seat, cannot reply | Per seat |
*AI answers are on the roadmap and ship with a hard monthly cap - see the FAQ. Competitor math: Intercom 5 seats × $85 (Advanced, annual) ≈ $425/mo; Zendesk Suite Team 5 seats × $55 (annual) ≈ $275/mo. Intercom's pricing page states that only Full seats can send messages; Lite seats are free on Advanced and Expert. From their public pricing pages, September 2026 - always check current rates.
FAQ
Yes. Open the live demo and play both sides of a conversation with the real widget and inbox, or open the chat widget in the corner of this page and talk to us. When you are ready, the Free plan never expires: create a workspace, paste the snippet on any page and you are live in about five minutes.
One flat price per workspace. Every paid plan includes unlimited agent seats - your whole team can answer customers without seat math. The Free plan is a single seat. No usage-based charges, no contact-based tiers, no surprises at the end of the month.
Run both side by side. The widgets don't conflict, so keep Intercom live while your team answers real conversations in Vasta on one page or a staging store. There is no history import yet; your archive stays readable in Intercom's own export, and nothing about Vasta requires you to bring it over.
No, and we never will. When AI answers launch, they come with a hard monthly cap included in your plan. When the cap is reached, the bot politely goes quiet and your team continues - your bill never changes without you clicking a button.
In the EU - our database and file storage run in Frankfurt, Germany. Conversation retention is configurable per workspace and old conversations are deleted, files included. Proactive-message rules run in the visitor's browser, so which pages someone visited is never sent to us. GDPR is the default, not an add-on.
No. The widget script is served from a global CDN and loads fast on every continent; messages round-trip to Frankfurt, which adds roughly a tenth of a second - imperceptible in a human conversation. And the moment you have European visitors, EU residency flips from a detail into an advantage: their data never leaves the EU.
About five minutes. You paste one script tag into your site, whitelist your domain, and the widget is live. No SDK, no build step, and it works on sites with a strict Content Security Policy.
31 languages - every major European language plus Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Turkish and Vietnamese - detected automatically from the visitor's browser or set by your site. Your customers see the widget in their language while your team works in one inbox.
No. Every paid plan has unlimited agent seats, so you can invite the person who fixes things without doing the math first. That is the whole reason we price per workspace instead of per seat, and everyone you invite is a full agent who can reply to customers, not a cheaper seat that can only watch. One limit: there is no ticket-only role yet, so that person joins as a normal agent and can see every conversation in the workspace. A ticket-only seat is on the roadmap.
Yes. Tickets are on every plan, Free included: priorities, statuses, comments, the timeline and the close-the-loop queue. Free is limited to one agent seat, so there you are both the person who files it and the person who fixes it, which is how it works for most one-person teams anyway. Nothing about ticketing changes when you upgrade - you just get more people.
Never. There is no status page, no ticket number in the widget and no automated “your issue has been updated” message. The ticket reference that lands in the thread is an internal note only your team can read. When the fix ships, what the fixer wrote is waiting in the thread as an internal note so nobody has to reconstruct the story, and then a person writes the reply and sends it.
Vasta runs the day-to-day customer support of its founder's other company, which relies on it every working day. It is not a side project that can be switched off without hurting that business. Your data is yours: conversation and contact export to JSON/CSV is on the roadmap for every plan including Free, and our terms commit to 30 days' written notice before any shutdown, with your data exportable the whole time. No lock-in is the point of flat pricing.
No, and that is deliberate. SLA engines, round-robin routing and escalation chains are how the big tools justify their price and how they earn their setup consultants. For a team of two to five people they are apparatus, not help: you get the ticket, the priority, the timeline and the close-the-loop queue, and a person decides the rest. Enough ticketing. Not more.
